COHJU contemporary art is pleased to annouce the exhibition “Twelve love poems and a song of despair(*)” by Michael Whittle and Sangsun Bae. In Kyoto, they got acquainted, built a family, respect each other as artist, and work hard together. In this exhibition, we show 13 collaboration artworks which Michael and Sangsun have kept making for several years, likening the works to poems by Pablo Neruda who is one of the most influential poet in the 20th century. With Pablo’s fertile imagination as a start, all the works shows the chemistry by the combnation with Michael’s delicate drawing and Sangsun’s bold brushwork.
